One Secure Platform for Public Safety Operations

The PowerDMS Platform combines public safety capabilities for policy management, accreditation, training, professional standards, wellness, community engagement, and background investigations with reusable, independently assessed FedRAMP security evidence.

Agency leaders can evaluate operational capabilities while IT, security, and procurement teams review existing certification evidence as part of their cloud assessment. This reduces duplicative provider-level evaluation while preserving each agency’s responsibility for its own authorization decisions.

Common Questions About PowerDMS and FedRAMP

PowerDMS is included in the NEOGOV Cloud offering, which is FedRAMP Certified at Class C (Moderate) through the Agency path. NEOGOV Cloud has been certified since August 25, 2025, is in the Ongoing Certification phase, and is listed under package ID FR2119265538. View NEOGOV in the FedRAMP Marketplace.

FedRAMP Moderate applies to cloud systems where the loss of confidentiality, integrity, or availability could have a serious adverse effect on agency operations, assets, or individuals. Moderate cloud services must meet defined security control, assessment, documentation, and continuous-monitoring requirements.

The NEOGOV Cloud offering maintains its security posture through continuous monitoring, vulnerability scanning, security testing, patch management, incident response processes, and ongoing reporting. The FedRAMP Marketplace currently identifies the offering as being in the Ongoing Certification phase.

No. FedRAMP provides reusable security evidence so federal agencies can avoid recreating the provider assessment. Each agency must still evaluate its intended use, configuration, integrations, information types, and agency-operated controls before authorizing its information system.

The Marketplace certification applies to the cloud service offering named NEOGOV Platform. Agencies should confirm that their selected products, configurations, integrations, and deployment model fall within the certified authorization boundary during the evaluation process.

NEOGOV received GovRAMP and TX-RAMP authorization in January 2025 and maintains a SOC 2 Type II report covering all five Trust Services Criteria. PowerDMS also publishes information about its CJIS and HIPAA-related security practices. Visit the PowerDMS Trust Center to confirm coverage for the specific product under consideration.

PowerDMS customer data is encrypted in transit and at rest and that the platform uses access controls, security monitoring, vulnerability management, incident response, and backup and recovery processes. Agencies can review current security documentation and request applicable reports through the Trust Center.
